
Non-destructive testing with active thermography allows you to detect shunts and micro crack of crystalline solar cells or thin layer solar cells. You can also check the density of charge carrier by the methods of electroluminescence or photoluminescence. These applications are based on a turnkey system called SolarCheck. With a testing time of circa 5 sec. the system can be easily integrated in the production process. The system works with optical excitation as well as with a modulated current signal for excitation.

You can realize reliable investigations of form and thickness of solar cellsby high-speed 3d measuring. Another possibility is the detection of wrong arrangements or manufacturing faults on the surface. The system is based on the triangulation principle and it works as certain as fast. A solar cell is completely scanned in circa 1 sec. and this is why this method can be integrated easily in the production process.
