AT – Automation Technology assumes social responsibility, with good personnel management as well as charity activities. In July, the company supported the cyclists GermanDocs and Children’s Cancer Aid Rostock.
Crossing Germany from north to south is the supreme discipline for long-distance cyclists on a national level. The four-man GermanDocs team, a group of cycling enthusiasts from northern Germany founded by doctors, took up this challenge. They planned to cover the 1,100 kilometer distance from Flensburg to Garmisch-Partenkirchen with 7,800 meters of altitude difference in 48 hours. However, this “Race across Germany” was not only about sport but also about a good cause: the GermanDocs raise funds for Children’s Cancer Aid Rostock.
The team and its support vehicle started on the morning of July 5 and reached their destination after around 47.5 hours – an excellent performance. The fund-raising campaign was also a success, and a considerable amount was raised to which AT contributed. The company will continue to support GermanDocs and Children’s Cancer Aid Rostock in the future.
